Celebrating Other's Successes

It's all too easy to fall into self-absorption in our culture. Jealousy and envy are definitely companions I have to guard against in my writing journey. I've been lucky to have gathered a bunch of really wonderful writing friends along the way and some really lovely things have been breaking their way of late.

I thought I could celebrate their achievements.

Marci Jefferson's debut title, THE DUCHESS OF RICHMOND, A NOVEL OF FRANCIS STUART will be published in 2014 by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin's Press

Susan Spann recently got to hold, in her very hands, the edits for her debut title, CLAWS OF THE CAT.  The book is going to be amazing. Murder. Honor. Samurai. Ninja detective. Ancient Japan. Seriously, what's not to love? July 16, 2013 is the release date, but you can pre-order it on Amazon.

Heather Webb not only signed with an agent, but her debut novel, BECOMING JOSEPHINE, the story of Napoleon's Empress and her journey to find herself, will be published by Plume/Penguin in winter 2014.

Arabella Stokes has signed with her dream agent, who started reading her manuscript and fell in love so hard, she emailed her offering representation in under an hour.  (!!!)

Janet B Taylor just won "Pitch Wars" and got her kick-ass time travel/historical YA manuscript, THROUGH THE DIM in the hands of a dozen agents. She has worked so incredibly hard on this book and I am so happy to see requests coming her way.

I am so proud of these lovely, supportive, and talented ladies and I hope you will follow their careers as they blossom. Because I know they will.
