Insanity abounds

So, in theory, our home reconstruction is slated to be finished this coming Friday, after which we will be moving back home after being displaced for 7 1/2 months.

This is not the time to be making big changes.  We've had enough change and chaos to last a lifetime.

But. . .

But. . .

We saw a lhasa apso mix on a dog adoption website and we've been thinking for some time that Tigger could use a friend.  We just couldn't cope with a second shed-o-matic hound.  And our first dog, Max had been a lhasa. 

Sunday afternoon, we're traipsing down to RI to meet this dog, see how well socialized it is, and see how Tigger reacts to him.  According to the rescue organization, he is a lovely animal who loves other dogs.  His name is Derby and he's 2 or 3.

Oh, and he looks goofy now because they had to shave him down, he was so badly matted.  Frankly, with that snout, I don't think he's got that much lhasa apso in him, but we'll see.
