Today the phone rang and a voice that I haven't heard for many years greeted me on the other end of the line. An old college friend, who nearly 27 years ago introduced me to my husband. He was the best man at our wedding and over the years, our lives drifted and we lost track of one another.
He had thought of me often, but felt embarrassed to call after so much time had passed. But he did reach across the miles and I am so grateful that he did.
There is no time like the now to let people in your life know what they mean to you.
