Vis a vis my blog post Monday, I decided to submit one of my short stories for consideration in an anthology. Before yesterday, I was stuck with the first definition of 'submit'--letting another assume power over me. While the second definition certainly includes that element (. . . decision of another. . .), the act of sending the story is an act of choice, of power.
