If you are looking for a way to organize information using a personal wiki, take a look at Tiddlywiki.
If you're not a little computer savvy, it can look a little daunting, but it's basically a way to view static content in dynamic ways. All the information is embedded in the page, but you only view the parts of it you want, when you want it. Probably easier to see it 'live' than talk about. I've uploaded the file here on my writing site.
Click around to see how it works. You can't edit or change anything with it on the net, but feel free to copy the page to your hard drive and play. I've optimized it as a writer's web.
